Natural Choice Chiropractic LLC

It is finally official. We have a business! Natural Choice Chiropractic LLC is now officially a business. Let's all hope it does well quickly. Hopefully the contract for the lease space will be signed by the end of this month. I should be seeing patients by January 3rd.

Here are a few pictures of the kids for you to enjoy. Alison has graduated to 3-6 month clothes as of yesterday. She will be 9 weeks old tomorrow. She has a beautiful smile, but so far I have not been fast enough to catch one on camera. She can also roll up onto her side from lying on her back. It won't be long and she will be rolling over completely.

David is spending more and more time paying attention to Alison. The jealousy is finally gone and he seems to love having his little sissy around. He gives her lots of kisses and has even picked her up out of her bouncer and put her on the floor by himself when I had my back turned. He must have been very gentle, because Alison didn't make a peep.

Family Resemblance

Just I thought I'd add a few pictures compairing David and Alison. There is quite a family resemblance between them. We definately make cute babies. Too bad there won't be anymore.

A lot has happened since Alison was born. David was kicked out of his Daycare for being a bully. We tried everything we could think of to get him to stop hiting, but in the end, all it took was for me to take some time off of work to be with him. David has had a hard time adjusting to his new little sister. Now that I have been home with him for a few weeks, he is doing much better. We even start at a new daycare tommorow. He enjoyed his trial run yesterday and there was no hitting involved!!! Yeah David!

I am no longer working for the Chiropractor in Battle Ground. We just couldn't agree on the terms of our contract, but I have found a new place to practice. I am currently in the contract phase with a Naturopath who is looking for a Chiropractor to rent space out of her office in order to help her cover her overhead. She has two children and only works two days a week so we fit perfectly. I will be working Mon, Wed and Fri to start, and then when my practice gets big enough I will transition to 4 days a week. It is nice to have found someone who does not want to hinder my success and also does not want to take every last penny I make.

Play time at our house has been fun. We made a fort over the weekend and we all played inside it. The rain over here has made it very difficult for us to go to the park and play, so we have to be inventive and find new ways to entertain David.

Alison has been growing with leaps and bounds. She began smiling at us last week and can already roll on her side. She has been sleeping really well at night too. I only have to get up with her once in the middle of the night. What a big difference from when David was this age. Hopefully she will be sleeping through the night in a month.

Alison and I took a trip to Seattle at the begining of the month for a continuing education seminar. We stayed with Shawnez, John, and Austin. It was lots of fun. Aunt Katie, Uncle Rick and cousin Bridgette were in Seattle too, so we all got together at Shawnez's house and played. David and Duncan stayed home in Vancouver and spent the weekend together. I was happy to see that they both survived their 2 days together without driving each other crazy.

Alison Jordyn

Announcing Alison Jordyn McKellar. Born: September 19, 2006. Weight: 8 pounds 1 ounce. Measurement: 21 inches long. The labor and delivery was quick and easy. Only 5 1/2 hours from start to finish. No epidural was needed, but I did have a shot of Phentinol to help cut the pain during the last hour of labor. I only pushed 3 times and was surprised at how much easier it is the second time around. I guess the two pound difference between Alison and David may have been a factor too. My mom and Dad were able to be in the room for Alison's delivery and mom was a big help. I kept her busy rubbing my feet and legs for a good three hours straight! Thanks Mom. My dad also helped out by giving my mom a back massage while she was helping me. Duncan was, as always, an amazing husband and coach. He kept me calm and gave me strength when I needed it. What an wonderful man he is.

Before Alison was born david had to try out her moses basket to make sure it would work OK. He barely fit, but approved of it, none the less. So far he has tried out every thing that we have for her including the swing and bouncer. I guess he is already the over protective older brother.

I took this picture on August 12, 2006. I just couldn't resist getting a picture of both of my men sleeping soundly in David's bed.
