Christmas Photos

We had a busy few days this past weekend. We went andhad our pictures taken today and even went to give Santa a visit. Alison liked Santa at a distance, but cried the minute she hit his lap so I had to join the picture.... not by choice. I think I was six the last time I had my picture taken with Santa.

My friend Jeremy from Parker CC came to stay with us last night. We had dinner together and had time to catch up.

Halloween Antics

I know, I know...it's been almost 2 months since I did an update, but for good reason. I HAVE BEEN BUSY! Work has kept me very busy these past few months. I moved my office into a very good chiropractor friend of mine's office and things have been peachy ever since. My numbers are up, I am happy, my patients are happy, and so is my business check book! I actually MAKE money instead of watch it flit out the door every month.

We all had a blast today playing dress up for Halloween. I spent all day as a Pirate and when I got home we dressed the kids up and went out trick or treating. David had a blast and Alison was impartial, although she wouldn't let go of the Reeses peanut butter cup she got at the first house we stopped at. Can't wait for next year so we can do it all over again!

Birthdays Galore!

We had a lot of fun celebrating Duncan's 32nd, David's 3rd and Alison's 1st birthday. The party that we had in Wenathcee was a success. It was nice to have family around since this is the first birthday that David has really understood and enjoyed. We also spent some time up at the cabin on Lake Chelan over Labor day weekend. It was a lot of fun having Jeannie with us. We all took turns taking a little row around the dock a few times and we also had a nice little hike on the Pacific Crest Trail. Stehekin was beautiful as always and Dick and Karen took us to Rainbow falls and High Bridge while we were there. We have missed Jeannie so much and enjoyed our short time together. Hopefully we will be able to take a trip to her in Dallas some day soon.

Just Kidding...

I know it has been a while since I have done an update, so for all of our fans out there... here you go.

Alison decided to get the 80's band Flock of Seagulls back together and they appointed her their lead singer! Way cool. Just kidding.... this is how she looks most mornings after a night of sleep.

David decided he is going to be the next Tiger Woods and has put his daddy to work as his caddy. Just kidding... All the kid can talk about is sports. Football this, soccer that, baseball games...blah blah blah. He is truly a sports freak at heart.

We let a few bums spend an afternoon lounging in our backyard last week. They had a nice long nap. Just kidding... These are a few of Duncan's co-workers passed out in our back yard last Friday after they had their big Golf Tourney and Fish Fry. I have such a great guy for a husband. He wouldn't let them drive home so he brought them here instead and we all had fun watching them.

We've been decorating!

We are slowly making headway on the inside of the house. David and Alison are now enjoying their newly decorated bedrooms. We used these ingenious little wallpaper decorations called "Wallies" and now we have fun and exciting rooms for the kids to play and sleep in. A few other rooms that we have finished decorating are the living room and the guest bedroom. Hopefully we will have the office and the dining room finished berfore the end of July. We have also been spending a lot of time tackling the weeds in the backyard, at least when the weather allows.

Duncan has been keeping very busy at work and has gone on a few overnight trips leaving me all alone with the wee ones. The kids and I try to make the best of things when Daddy is not around.
Things are coming along slowly in my practice. I had a decent month last month. I almost broke even with my over head for the first time since I opened. Hopefully it will continue to grow and I just might be able to say that I am no longer in the red.

We're almost moved in.

Well... Boy have we been busy. Moving sure can take a lot out of you. We still have a few boxes here and there, but are pretty much done moving in. We have even started tackling the overgrowth of weeds that were left for us. Two weeks ago we tore up the front flower beds removed a whole bunch and added a little. Anyone need any rhododendrones? We have plenty! The previous owners seemed to like them quite a bit and wild flowers too. We are slowly tackeling the backyard now. The yard just might look good by the end of summer. Then it will be on to the inside for a few cosmetic touch ups, a new staircase railing, and a new master bath. We sure do have our work cut out for us. I hope our pocket book can handle it.
Work has been going good for both Duncan and I. Duncan has taken a few trips out of town so far this year and my practice is finally starting to bloom. I'm even thinking about moving into a bigger office with more space in order to add a massage therapist, or two, and an accupuncturist. But that won't be for a few months still since I have a lease that isn't up until December.

The kids are happy and healthy. Alison will be joining David in Daycare in July and will no longer be my little side kick at work. Crawling babies are just to hard to handle while working. David is going through his terrible 2's/3's and has been quite a handfull, but we are surviving. I'm just glad we only have to go through it one more time. I commend all the parents out there with multiple kids (more than 2). I think I would go crazy if I had to do it over, and over, and over, and over... you get my point. CRAZY!!!

We have moved!!!

It's official... We have moved and are home owners once again. Thanks to our parents for helping us with the tedious task of packing up and moving one last time. Hopefully this will be it until the kids are grown. We are still living in a sea of boxes, but hopefully we will remedy the situation over the next few weeks. The office/Den seems to be the worst since we have boxes in there that we haven't looked inside since Texas. The yard is also going to take some time. The previous owners did zero maintenance after they knew they were leaving, and now we have weeds galore. We also think they purposefully planted a few weedlike flowers in the gardens and they have since over taken them. I hope to have some pictures posted soon, but since we are still unpacking the house is a mess. I promise that they will be added shortly, even if I have to take pictures of "THE MESS". We hope you enjoy this Hug and Kiss from the kids.

April Showers Bring Spring Flowers

Here are some beautiful pictures, like the one on the sidebar, that Duncan and I took 2 years ago at the Botanical Gardens in Dallas, Texas. Just a little reminder that Spring has finally sprung and the long gloomy days of winter are behind us.

Easter Madness!

We had a lot of fun in Wenatchee and Lake Chelan over Easter weekend. It is always great to be home and spend time with family. Everyone was healthy and in good spirits.

First we destroyed Grandma Joyce's bathroom and got about half way through fixing it back up. Lots of new paint and some really cool tiles to go behind the bathtub were just a few of the things we did. Now we just have to do the little touches to make it look complete. Sorry 'bout the mess Grandma. We'll try to finish it soon.

Duncan helped Papa Dick get some of the deck in their backyard layed out. Now Papa Dick is just waiting for the rest of the wood for the deck to be delivered so it can be finished. Hope we can make it back to help finish it since Duncan didn't get to do much last weekend.

David had lots of fun hunting for Easter eggs at Nana and Papa's house and at Aunt Rose's house too. I can't wait for Alison to be able to join in the fun. David scored lots of chocolate, candy and even some money from the Easter Bunny this year.
