November ramblings...

I know it has been a while since I last posted, but a lot has been happening. So much that it is hard to put it all down. David turned 5 on August 28 and started Kindergarten in September and Alison turned 3 on September 19. My business has been on a roller coaster ride thanks to the economy. Luckily I still get a paycheck and I am still paying all the bills. We have had a small change in personnel at the office with the loss of a great Massage Therapist and the hiring of her replacement. Duncan's office (PCI/PAS) continues to be very productive in the Commercial Construction and Abatement in this area, although it is slowing down now that it is winter.

Now that I am closer to home (Wenatchee), I have been reminiscing a lot and wondering what all of my old buddies have been up to. I sure do miss having them in my life. I know things change, but a nice walk down memory lane would be nice every once in a while, and maybe the possibility of rekindling old friendships.

On the other hand, we have made some great friends here in Vancouver. Abbie and Maddie Howell have been a wonderful addition to our little family. Abbie works with Duncan and her daughter Maddie is adored by us all. The kids have become best friends with a brother and sister they used to go to daycare with. Colby and Cassie Loper are the cutest kids, besides my own, and we are lucky to have become great friends with their parents Joe and Carmen. David sees Colby everyday at school, but they were not luck
y enough to have the same teacher this year. Alison has since changed day care centers and is not longer able to see Cassie a lot so we like to have play dates on occasion. We spent Halloween with the Loper family and had a great time trick-or-treating their neighborhood.

I will keep you posted with the new happenings as quickly as I can. TTYL! BTW... Enjoy the pictures.

Reflections of a mother....

I woke up this morning and wondered where the time has gone. I noticed the little wrinkles starting to form around my mouth and eyes, and the grey hairs that need to be died to match my beautiful brown hair. I'm not so sure I am ready to get older. David will be in Kindergarten in a few weeks, and my baby girl turns 3 on September 19 and I can no longer truly call her a baby. That makes me want to cry. I wish that I could stop time from moving so fast. It feels like just yesterday that I was climbing the tree in my parents' front yard (which is no longer there) and scratching up my knees and not caring what other people thought about what I was wearing or how messy my hair was. The joys of child hood are gone and have been replaced with the responsibility of paying the mortgage, making sure there is food on the table and gas in the car. I just wish that I could go back in time for one day and re-live the carefree life of a child. I can only hope to enjoy the awesomeness of childhood through my children's experiences and watch in awe as they learn and grow.

David's portfolio pics.

Here are a few of D's best pics from his portfolio. We just picked them up yesterday in Seattle at his agency.
