April Showers Bring Spring Flowers

Here are some beautiful pictures, like the one on the sidebar, that Duncan and I took 2 years ago at the Botanical Gardens in Dallas, Texas. Just a little reminder that Spring has finally sprung and the long gloomy days of winter are behind us.

Easter Madness!

We had a lot of fun in Wenatchee and Lake Chelan over Easter weekend. It is always great to be home and spend time with family. Everyone was healthy and in good spirits.

First we destroyed Grandma Joyce's bathroom and got about half way through fixing it back up. Lots of new paint and some really cool tiles to go behind the bathtub were just a few of the things we did. Now we just have to do the little touches to make it look complete. Sorry 'bout the mess Grandma. We'll try to finish it soon.

Duncan helped Papa Dick get some of the deck in their backyard layed out. Now Papa Dick is just waiting for the rest of the wood for the deck to be delivered so it can be finished. Hope we can make it back to help finish it since Duncan didn't get to do much last weekend.

David had lots of fun hunting for Easter eggs at Nana and Papa's house and at Aunt Rose's house too. I can't wait for Alison to be able to join in the fun. David scored lots of chocolate, candy and even some money from the Easter Bunny this year.

Our New Home!!!

Well, our efforts have finally paid off. We will be closing on a house by the end of April. We are glad the hunt is over and we have found a beautifull 1978 house in a great area of Vancouver. We will have plenty of room for visitors and a great place for us to raise the kids. We were looking for something to fix up and sell in a few years, but I think we might just have to live there a little longer. The schools are some of the best in Vancouver, and we have plenty of yard to play in. The picture of the front of the house doesn't do it justice. The furniture is obviously not ours, but we will update the pictures once we move in.

Bad Blogger

Sorry it has been so long since I have added to the Blog. We have been very busy. We a currently looking for a house to buy in the very near future. We put on offer on one, but the seller is shooting for the stars with the amount he wants. We will hopefully find a house soon, so that David and Morgan (our dog) have a place to run and play.

I have also been trying to build my practice. I have been going to Leads groups and networking with other business people in the Vancouver area. I hope it pays off. It has been a blessing to have Alison go to work with me. She has become a social butterfly and she is only 5 months old. She seems to know when it is time to be good and when it is ok to be clingy. It will be a sad day when I no longer have her rocking away in my office making little noises.

We have also had some fun in the last month too. Grandma Joyce came down to visit us after Duncan had his little procedure to take care of the pitter patter of any more little McKellar feet. He was a real trooper. Thanks mom for the help. Nana and Papa McKellar also came down to visit for a few days on their way back from their winter trip to the south. They brought a few cool little gifts for the kids and us from their travels. We are glad that they are home safe.

It has rained a lot in the last month so we have had to improvise again and find things to keep David occupied. Luckily I get to be behind the camera while Duncan gets to do all the dressing up. We have some great video of David running through the house singing " Do Do Do" while he pretends to be a Super Hero. Alsion has been rolling all over the place and is even trying to get up on her knees now. It won't be long until we have 2 children to chase after. She has the sweetest giggle I have ever heard. She does not full out laugh like David did, but just gives a few giggles here and there with a lot of squeels of joy in between.

Pictures of Lori's office

Here are the pictures that I promised. Hopefully many of you will get to see the inside in person. There have been a few changes since these pictures were taken, I now have an x-ray view box and a few other supplies in the room, but at least you get to see it.

December Happenings

Happy New Year!

The last month of 2006 was quite a busy one. We went to Wenatchee for Thanksgiving and got stuck there due to the fact that it snowed four inches in 24 hours and we couldn't find any snow tires or chains to help us get back home. We later discovered that you cannot get snow tires for the size of tire that the VUE had and that there is not enogh clearance for chains. We looked into buying all new rims and tires, but the brake thingy would interfere with any other size tire. Threfore we bought a new SUV! We ended up getting a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer. We got an amazing deal on it too. It was a program car (whatever that is) and it had 9,000 miles on it. It was over $10,000 less than the MSRP on a new one! We couldn't believe it. It has a black leather interior, and all the bells and whistles of a luxury car. The only thing it didn't have was a in ceiling DVD player and seat warmers for the front seats. We absolutley love the way it drives and it is so much more comfortable that the VUE.

The kids had fun in Wenatchee and Chelan for Christmas. David made out with a whole bunch of toys and gift cards, and Alison got lots of clothes. Nana and Papa McKellar flew in from their road trip in order to spend Christmas with us in Chelan. Alison was finally introduced to all our family in Wenatchee and received a great welcoming. David had lots of fun playing with his cousins at Grandma and Papa Sturm's house.

David is growing up quickly. He has been sleeping in a big boy bed since the beginning of Decmber, and he is starting to potty train. Some days are better than others, but at least he is trying. Hopefully we will only have one kid in diapers by summer. Hooray!

We got my office put together and organized this past Friday and Saturday. The doors are open for business starting tomorrow, but I still have a lot to do before I can see patients with insurance, unless they want to pay cash and bill their insurance themselves. This will hopefully be remedied sometime in the next few months. Stay tuned because there will be pictures of my office coming soon.

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry christmas to all our friends and family. It has been a busy year for us this year. We have moved from Texas back to Washington and have enjoyed being back in the Pacific NorthWest. We made several trips to Wenatchee and Chelan over the past nine months and have had many visitors too. Our best friend Jeannie (pictured above next to Lori) has come to visit us twice from Dallas. We have missed her greatly but have continued to keep in touch, even with our busy schedules. Duncan was transfered within PCI is very happy with the transfer. He has stayed very busy and will hopefully be promoted to Manager in the next few years if things go right.

David turned two and got kicked out of daycare
for un-necessary ruffness. Alison Jordyn was
born and is wonderful addition to our family. We cannot wait for all the Kodak moments that we will have in this coming year.
I have been doing some vacation relief work for another Chiropractor in the area and just finished a seven day stent. It has been nice to be able to do this in order keep my mind focused on patient care and my technique has improved greatly since I began sub-ing in October. We are also hopeful that my practice will flourish and grow. I have already secured several patients and my office doors don't open until January. I can't wait to begin seeing my own patients for a change.
