NEW YORK BABY!

I took a little trip to NYC for a few days; mixing business with pleasure. Saw lots of great sites, but most of it was done during the evening hours. I was able to go to the top of the Empire State building, see the Statue of Liberty, Ground Zero, Times Square, Broadway (but didn't have time for a show), went to the Broadway Comedy Club, had a few drinks at the BB King jazz club, walked by the Smithsonian and the Trinity Church. Also had a fabulous Italian dinner at Tony's in mid-town Manhattan. Drove through Soho, saw Central Park (but didn't get out of the car since it was midnight and I wanted to stay alive) and drove through both the Holland tunnel and the Lincoln tunnel. All of this in just 3 nights and 1 afternoon. Did I mention all of this was done with a rental car and a GPS! No Taxis or Subway involved! Had a few close calls with the local drivers and made our way through the sea of Taxis totally unscathed.

Christmas Photos

We had a busy few days this past weekend. We went andhad our pictures taken today and even went to give Santa a visit. Alison liked Santa at a distance, but cried the minute she hit his lap so I had to join the picture.... not by choice. I think I was six the last time I had my picture taken with Santa.

My friend Jeremy from Parker CC came to stay with us last night. We had dinner together and had time to catch up.

Halloween Antics

I know, I know...it's been almost 2 months since I did an update, but for good reason. I HAVE BEEN BUSY! Work has kept me very busy these past few months. I moved my office into a very good chiropractor friend of mine's office and things have been peachy ever since. My numbers are up, I am happy, my patients are happy, and so is my business check book! I actually MAKE money instead of watch it flit out the door every month.

We all had a blast today playing dress up for Halloween. I spent all day as a Pirate and when I got home we dressed the kids up and went out trick or treating. David had a blast and Alison was impartial, although she wouldn't let go of the Reeses peanut butter cup she got at the first house we stopped at. Can't wait for next year so we can do it all over again!

Birthdays Galore!

We had a lot of fun celebrating Duncan's 32nd, David's 3rd and Alison's 1st birthday. The party that we had in Wenathcee was a success. It was nice to have family around since this is the first birthday that David has really understood and enjoyed. We also spent some time up at the cabin on Lake Chelan over Labor day weekend. It was a lot of fun having Jeannie with us. We all took turns taking a little row around the dock a few times and we also had a nice little hike on the Pacific Crest Trail. Stehekin was beautiful as always and Dick and Karen took us to Rainbow falls and High Bridge while we were there. We have missed Jeannie so much and enjoyed our short time together. Hopefully we will be able to take a trip to her in Dallas some day soon.

Just Kidding...

I know it has been a while since I have done an update, so for all of our fans out there... here you go.

Alison decided to get the 80's band Flock of Seagulls back together and they appointed her their lead singer! Way cool. Just kidding.... this is how she looks most mornings after a night of sleep.

David decided he is going to be the next Tiger Woods and has put his daddy to work as his caddy. Just kidding... All the kid can talk about is sports. Football this, soccer that, baseball games...blah blah blah. He is truly a sports freak at heart.

We let a few bums spend an afternoon lounging in our backyard last week. They had a nice long nap. Just kidding... These are a few of Duncan's co-workers passed out in our back yard last Friday after they had their big Golf Tourney and Fish Fry. I have such a great guy for a husband. He wouldn't let them drive home so he brought them here instead and we all had fun watching them.
